Misty Mathews

Misty Mathews is the strategic communications manager for KHA. She brings more than 10 years of experience to the role.

Prior to joining KHA, she was lead communications specialist and internal communications consultant for BBVA Compass, where she managed HR communications to the company’s 10,000 employees. Before that, she was a communications specialist at The University of Alabama, serving in a dual role as public relations manager for the College of Communication and Information Sciences and a member of the campus-wide media relations team. She began her career in journalism, first as a newspaper reporter and then as managing editor for a national, award-winning business-to-business magazine.

She double-majored in communication studies and journalism while earning a B.A. at The University of Alabama. She currently lives in Hoover, Alabama, with her husband and two sons.
