Vanessa Farrell, MPH, MCHES

Ms. Vanessa Farrell is Director of Programs at KHA. She brings more than 24 years of public health experience with deep knowledge in program planning and management.

Ms. Farrell was previously the Territorial Director of the Communicable Diseases Division within the United States Virgin Islands Department of Health. Prior to joining the USVI DOH team, she was a program associate at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and also with the Philadelphia Department of Public Health. Her public health career began in Brooklyn, NY, working in HIV prevention with the Caribbean Women’s Health Association, Inc., and the State University of New York-Downstate Medical Center.

She is a graduate of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Public Health Prevention Service Program, a master’s-level fellowship for public health professionals. She received her MPH and BA from the City University of New York-Brooklyn College and is a Master’s Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES) and certified health coach. She was born in Montserrat, West Indies, and currently lives on the island of St. Croix, in the USVI.
